Description

Ayurveda gave Harad a second name: Abhaya, the one without fear. It earned it in the gut. Abhayarishta is the classical tonic built on that fruit, 30g of Harad in every 100ml, slowly fermented with raisins, Vidanga, Madhuka, jaggery and a dozen supporting herbs like fennel, coriander, dry ginger and Trivrit. Take 15–30ml mixed with an equal amount of water, twice a day after meals. It is made to relieve bloating, gas trouble, swelling and constipation, and to help strengthen the intestines over time. An old, dark, slightly sweet remedy for a stomach that has stopped moving the way it should.
